Ingredients

  • ¼ cup ketchup +2 tablespoons
  • 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 ½ pounds ground turkey
  • ½ small onion minced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • ½ cup sundried tomatoes chopped
  • ½ cup feta cheese crumbled
  • ½ cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon marjoram
  • Salt and pepper
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley chopped

Instructions

  • In a small bowl, mix 2 tablespoons of ketchup with Worcestershire sauce. Set aside.
¼ cup ketchup, 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
  • In a medium bowl, combine the ground turkey, minced onion, olive oil, chopped sundried tomatoes, crumbled feta cheese, breadcrumbs, egg, marjoram, salt, and pepper. Mix everything until just combined, being careful not to overmix, which can lead to a dense meatloaf.
1 ½ pounds ground turkey, ½ small onion, 1 tablespoon olive oil, ½ cup sundried tomatoes, ½ cup feta cheese, ½ cup breadcrumbs, 1 large egg, 1 teaspoon marjoram, Salt and pepper
  • Shape the mixture into a loaf and place it in a loaf pan or on a baking pan. Spoon the sauce mixture over the top, spreading it evenly.
  • Place the loaf in the air fryer, uncovered, and cook for 25-30 minutes, until the internal temperature reaches 165°F. Once cooked, let the meatloaf sit for 5 minutes before slicing.
  • Garnish with parsley and serve.
    2 tablespoons fresh parsley

Notes

  • Keep It Moist: Turkey is leaner than beef, so adding a little olive oil or using moist ingredients like sundried tomatoes helps keep the meatloaf from drying out while cooking. It also adds a subtle richness to each slice.
  • Chop Onions Finely: Large chunks of onion can make the loaf fall apart. Finely mince the onion so it blends well and adds flavor without interfering with the loaf’s structure.
  • Perfect Texture: Don’t overmix; just blend ingredients until combined to prevent a tough texture.
  • Use a Thermometer: For juicy, safe meatloaf, ensure it reaches an internal temperature of 165°F. A meat thermometer takes out the guesswork and prevents overcooking, which can dry out the turkey.
  • Customize the Toppings: Try adding extra spices like smoked paprika or a sprinkle of shredded cheese.
  • Make-ahead Option: If you’re preparing in advance, you can assemble the meatloaf mixture and store it in the refrigerator, uncooked, for up to 24 hours. This is great if you want to pop it into the air fryer right before serving.
