If you want something that’s simple but always a hit, these Ham and Swiss Sliders do the trick. They come together fast, bake beautifully, and work for just about any occasion—whether it's for family dinners, busy weeknights, weekend hangouts, or game day spreads. You can prep them early, and they hold up well in the fridge or freezer. Just heat them up when you’re ready, and they’re good to go.
Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C) and lightly grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
Slice the Hawaiian rolls in half horizontally, keeping them connected. Place the bottom half in the prepared dish. Spread a layer of mayonnaise over the rolls, then evenly layer the ham and Swiss cheese on top. Spread more mayonnaise on the cut side of the top buns and place them over the filling.
12 count Hawaiian rolls, ½ cup mayonnaise, 8 slices Swiss cheese, 1 pound sliced honey ham
In a small saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter. Stir in the Dijon mustard, brown sugar, salt, and pepper until fully combined. Pour the buttery mixture evenly over the sliders, then sprinkle with everything bagel seasoning. Cover the dish with foil.
½ teaspoon salt, ½ teaspoon pepper, 1 tablespoon brown sugar, 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard, ¼ cup unsalted butter, 1 tablespoon everything bagel seasoning
Bake for 12-15 minutes until the sliders are warmed through and the cheese is melted. Remove the foil and bake for another 2-3 minutes until the tops turn golden brown.
Serve immediately and enjoy!
Notes
Use a serrated knife to slice the rolls: It’s the easiest way to get a clean cut without tearing or squishing them.
Spread the mayo all the way to the edges: This helps keep the sliders moist and flavorful with every bite.
Layer cheese on top of the ham: The cheese melts more evenly this way and helps everything stick together, making the sliders easier to slice and serve without everything sliding out.
Pour the glaze slowly and evenly: If you pour too quickly, the glaze can pool in some areas while skipping others, which means some sliders end up soggy and others barely get any flavor.
Switch up the topping if you like: Everything bagel seasoning is great, but sesame or poppy seeds also work.
Let them rest a few minutes after baking: Giving the sliders a short rest helps the cheese set slightly and the layers settle, so they hold together better when you slice and serve.
Keep the foil on for the first bake: It keeps the tops from over-browning while the sliders warm through.
