Ingredients

  • 16 ounces can strawberry frosting
  • 12 ounces bag strawberry flavored pink candy melts

Instructions

  • Line an 8 x 8 pan with parchment paper and set it aside.
  • Place the strawberry candy melts in a medium-sized bowl. Microwave for 2 minutes, stopping every 30 seconds to stir. Continue heating and stirring until the candy melts are smooth and fully melted, with no lumps remaining.

  • Remove the lid and any foil from the can of strawberry frosting. Microwave the frosting for 1 minute or until it's warmed and easy to pour.

  • Pour the warmed frosting into the bowl with the melted candy melts. Stir vigorously until both ingredients are fully combined and smooth.
  • Pour the fudge mixture into the prepared pan. Spread it evenly and gently tap the pan on the counter to remove any air bubbles. Place the pan in the refrigerator and chill for 4 hours, or until the fudge is fully set.
  • Once set, cut the fudge into 1-inch squares. Serve and enjoy!

Notes

  • Smooth Melts: Be sure to stir the candy melts every 30 seconds while microwaving. This prevents them from overheating or clumping together, which can happen easily if they’re left too long without stirring. If you notice any small lumps, keep stirring until they dissolve completely for a smooth consistency.
  • Foil-Free: Make sure you remove every tiny piece of foil from the frosting can before microwaving—safety first!
  • Even Layer: When you pour the fudge mixture into the pan, use a spatula to spread it evenly across the surface. Tapping the pan on the counter a few times will help level out the mixture and release any trapped air bubbles, ensuring the fudge sets smoothly.
  • Chill Time is Key: Allow at least 4 hours for the fudge to fully set in the fridge. Rushing this step will leave you with fudge that’s still soft and not fully formed. For best results, you can even let it sit overnight.
  • Warm Knife for Clean Slices: To get nice, clean cuts, warm your knife by running it under hot water and drying it off before slicing. This helps the knife glide through the fudge easily, leaving neat, professional-looking squares without jagged edges.
  • Flavor Add-Ons: For an extra twist, try mixing in or sprinkling crushed freeze-dried strawberries or white chocolate chips on top before the fudge sets. It adds a burst of texture and flavor that complements the strawberry.
